What we do

Believes we should use the diverse world around us to our advantage, because there lies a lot of hidden talent and potential. The fear is meaningless. She opens conversations with companies and individuals so that we understand the full spectrum of LGBTI+ and people with disabilities. Conversations taught her two other lessons: patience, to constantly inspire through actions; and energy management, to understand stress and burnout.

Magda was born and raised in Slovakia. She is a European Studies alum of Comenius University and Universität Osnabrück. After her studies she has worked at IBM in Slovakia and Hungary, at Amazon and is currently employed at Dell.

She started to take interest in the topics of diversity and equality already during her studies. She completed several trainings specialising in gender equality (Freedom of choice) and LGBTI+ topics. In her free time she has worked and works in mostly LGBTI+ community-focused internal employee groups, she continues her education about the topic and volunteers, for example during the annual Bratislava Pride.

Matej was born and raised in Bratislava. He graduated with a diploma in Marketing Communications from Comenius University in Bratislava and after a student job at Dell he started to work in FMCG marketing. With his husband he lived in the US, worked in the UK and ran a business in Spain. Currently he works in the marketing department of Heineken Slovakia.

Already during his studies he started to take interest in LGBTI+ activism. He later co-founded the LGBTI+ ERG at the headquarters of brewing corporation SABMiller before their acquisition by a new owner and co-organized SABMiller’s presence at Pride in London. His goal is for each and every employee in Slovakia to be able to bring their whole self to work because he believs that is the only way to reach maximum performance and satisfaction in their job.

Matej was born and grew up in Bratislava, where he remained working in academia after completing his law studies. He sees diversity and inclusion as a prerequisite for fairness and equality for all people not only in the private but also in the public sector. For him, equal opportunities regardless of, among other things, sex, gender, or sexual orientation are fundamental values on which public services should be provided. These values represent a prerequisite for responsible public policy-making as well as for decisions in individual matters. They build the public’s confidence in the orderly and fair functioning of public institutions.

He is already trying to build these values in contact with his students, through which he believes that diversity in society will be perceived as a prerequisite for individual satisfaction in family and working life.

Santiago has 20+ years of working experience in the private sector, currently in charge of Philanthropy and Corporate Social Responsibility for Lenovo in EMEA.

Slovak by heart, Colombian by blood and wannabe activist working for a more inclusive and tolerant society.

Viktoria comes from a small town in central Slovakia, but she’s lived abroad for over ten years. While growing up, it was her parents who had an impact on her attitude towards diversity. In adulthood, it was mainly encounters with people from various communities that have shaped her. She believes that intolerance and prejudice, whether it’s based on someone’s sexual orientation, social status, race or religion, have no place in a modern society.

Viktoria graduated from Tsinghua University in Beijing with a master’s degree in Business Journalism. Even though she feels at home in an international environment, she still follows the development of the political and social situation in Slovakia and wants to take tangible steps to improve it.

She is glad that she can utilize her work experience in business communication, training delivery and project management in the organization.
